MasterData Specialist

Samsung SDS in Tilburg is a logistics company that handles warehouse operations for Samsung Electronics and external businesses. We have an on-site office, making communication easy for our employees. Samsung SDS is located on Theseusstraat in Tilburg and is easily accessible from Breda, 's Hertogenbosch, Etten-Leur and Oosterhout.

We are looking for an ambitious Master Data Specialist with strong analytical and communication skills besides visual imagination of product, handling characteristics and stacking patterns. He/she is a flexible and accurate problem-solver with a strong hands-on mentality, The Master Data Specialist is part of the Operational Stock Control Team. The team is a mix of a Stock Controller, Master Data Specialists and operational support functions like Cycle Counters and Repackers. As Master Data Specialist you are in close contact with the Stock Controller to ensure correctness of the item and location related master data in our Cello Transport Management System and Warehouse Management System.

The Master Data Specialist ensures that all new items are measured upon arrival and correctly registered in the relevant tables of the WMS and TMS systems. Based on the basic product measurements the handling characteristics and storage characteristics are setup in WMS. Furthermore, the measurements are setup in TMS and contribute to optimal fill rates of outbound transport.Besides item master data the Master Data Specialist ensures correct setup of locations in the WMS.

Key activities of the Master Data Specialist are:

• Measuring new received items.
• Registering the product and handling characteristics in WMS and TMS.
• Set-up and define pallet stacking patterns.
• Maintaining and improve setup of current items and solve item master related issues in storage, handling, and transport.
• Set-up and maintain warehouse location parameters.
• Analyzing product and handling characteristics.
• Optimizing and adjust warehouse location set-up.
• Initiate physical improvement possibilities.
• Initiate and control relocation moves.

• MBO in logistics or higher.
•  2-5 years working experience in a similar role.
• Team player attitude.
• Experience in a warehousing environment.
• A proficient level of English.
• Good Excel skills.
• Relevant experience in TMS and WMS systems.
