Roles and Responsibilities as Composite Researcher

  • Design, build, and maintain experimental setups and machinery for research projects in collaboration with the industry, focusing on processing and recycling thermoplastic composite materials.
  • Contribute actively to the experimental aspect of research projects, ensuring the proper functioning of the semi-industrial TPAC laboratory and workshop.
  • Work closely with a team of mainly mechanical engineers and support composite education in Bachelor's and/or Master's programs.

Academy of Life Science, Engineering, and Design
As a Composite Researcher at Saxion, you will work within TPAC, conducting research under the Lightweight Construction professorship, part of LED which offers an inspiring and effective learning environment focused on applied technologies and recent national and international developments.

Job Requirements

  • Relevant technical degree in mechanical engineering or similar field.
  • Experience in designing and building machinery or experimental setups.
  • Affinity with manufacturing industry, preferably in producing composite parts.
  • Researcher/developer willing to contribute to innovative and sustainable solutions for thermoplastic composites.
  • Enthusiastic team player with strong collaboration skills within a team of engineers and researchers.
