Manager Operations Inbound
Welcome to our team
The Oss location focuses on the production and packaging of medicines for women's health. The organization is characterized by short reporting lines, autonomous teams, and delegation of authorities. Lean principles are the starting point here. The production processes take place within "Integrated Process Teams" (IPTs), supported by Centers of Excellence (CoE's) and global support functions such as Technical Operations, Quality Operations, HR, EHS, Finance, and IPT Logistics.
IPT Logistics has a team of 85 employees (80 FTE) and focuses on the 'first time right' receipt and storage of materials, order picking for the production departments (IPTs), and global delivery of end products according to customer requirements. The department consists of three operational areas: Inbound, High-rise/PickPack, and Outbound.
Purpose of the role
As the Manager Operations Inbound, you work day shifts and lead two teams (A and B) of 8 to 12 operators, collectively responsible for the operational goods receipt and sampling processes.
Teams A and B work in two shifts. Inbound handles all materials received for the production of medicines. In a good and open working atmosphere, safety, compliance, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement are key. You ensure that quality (GMP/GDP), safety procedures, and guidelines are followed, initiating and carrying out improvement projects in the areas of logistics, processes, quality, and/or safety using Lean Six Sigma methodologies. You are driven to achieve output and cost targets without compromising on product quality.
In the coming years, IPT Logistics faces the challenge of facilitating the growth of production volumes in Oss. Various (CAPEX) projects will be initiated and executed, impacting the Inbound department, with which the Manager Operations Inbound will be involved.
Main responsibilities
- Managing, coaching, and developing Logistics Operators;
- Coordinating with colleagues Coaches on all logistics activities;
- Coordinating with carriers for goods receipt and with planners within Supply Chain;
- Maintaining and continuously improving current processes in terms of technology, quality, and safety in collaboration with supporting disciplines within and outside the IPT. Aim for right-first-time operations without accidents;
- Ensuring and enforcing consistent quality procedures in collaboration with colleagues;
- Monitoring and initiating data administration and driving improvements based on data-derived performance indicators;
- Leading root cause investigations following quality or safety issues.
Your profile
- Completed HBO or WO degree in a logistics, business, technical, or pharmaceutical field;
- Several years of relevant managerial experience;
- You are result-oriented and able to set the right priorities;
- You focus on internal customers, as well as quality and compliance;
- You have project management skills;
- You are collaborative, constructive, and proactive;
- You are innovative, have a strong drive to improve, and possess root cause analysis skills;
- You have a good command of Dutch and English, both written and spoken (mandatory).
