Ben jij een full-stack developer die mee wil doorontwikkelen en onderhouden van de architectuur van onze websites, apps en product- en prijsvergelijkers?

Samen met een team van interne en externe specialisten ontwerp, bouw en implementeer je oplossingen en nieuwe technologieën voor miljoenen gebruikers per maand. Je begrijpt wat er komt kijken bij het managen van high-traffic websites.

We gebruiken PHP en Laravel, ElasticSearch en Postgres als databases. Onze front-end is gebouwd met React en GraphQL API’s.


Functieomschrijving

Bij aanvang ligt er gelijk een mooi groot project voor je klaar. Samen met je collega's ga je een compleet nieuwe titel opzetten waarin onze vergelijkers diep worden geïntegreerd. Je zal hier gebruik gaan maken van NextJs en Laravel. Daarbij liggen diverse uitdagingen op je te wachten op het gebied van integratie, performance en schaalbaarheid, maar zorg je ook voor een perfecte gebruikerservaring voor onze bezoekers.

Om altijd de laatste prijzen in onze vergelijkers te kunnen tonen, verwerken wij doorlopend meer dan 8 miljoen prijzen uit meer dan 70 verschillende CSV shop feeds. Dit doen we met een robuust en schaalbaar systeem, welke wij onlangs herschreven hebben in PHP en Laravel. Het resultaat: een uren durende import is terug gebracht naar enkele minuten.


Naast het opzetten van de nieuwe titel en het doorontwikkelen van bovengenoemd systeem, ga je onder andere aan de slag met:

  • Vergelijkers en achterliggende systemen verder uitbreiden en aanpassen voor nieuwe titels, product categorieën en nieuwe functies;
  • We willen de beste vergelijker voor complexe (prijs)vergelijkingen zijn. Je denkt na over en werkt mee met verbeteringen aan de vergelijker die het voor onze bezoekers makkelijker maken de beste aanbieding voor hem te selecteren.


Je krijgt de kans om echt de diepte in te gaan, met nieuwe technieken te werken en eerder opgedane kennis en ervaring in de praktijk te brengen en jouw stempel te drukken op de toekomst en groei van BigSpark.

Bij BigSpark werken we met Shape Up en hebben we een ‘getting things done’ mentaliteit. We werken in cycles van 6 weken, zodat we genoeg tijd hebben om aan het eind van iedere cycle iets significants op te leveren.

Wij vragen

  • Minimaal 3 jaar ervaring met zowel front-end als back-end;
  • Ruime ervaring met HTML + CSS + JS;
  • Het bouwen van productie applicaties in moderne OO-talen zoals PHP, Python of Ruby;
  • Goed sociale en communicatieve vaardigheden;
  • Je bent een aanpakker, oplossingsgericht en streeft naar hoge kwaliteit;
Ervaring die we erg waarderen
  • Ervaring met JS frameworks (Vue, React, Angular);
  • Ervaring met PHP frameworks (Laravel, Symfony);
  • Begrip van DevOps (Docker, AWS);
  • Ervaring met werken in teamverband en scrum;
  • Ervaring met high-traffic websites is een pré.
