Group Manager Tooling Technology Project Management

Introduction

The Tooling Technology Departments in D&E are responsible for the engineering and industrialization of the tooling and packaging required to manufacture, service, lift and transport all ASML products and parts; in- and out-side the cleanroom, at the customer and at ASML.

As ASML is growing, we see that the product portfolio is increasing rapidly. As every product must be transported to, and installed at our customer, they all require engineering solutions. The increasing amount of Tooling Technology projects creates a bigger challenge for our project managers.

To invest in the project management competence and provide the right support to all project managers, we created a dedicated Project Management group. This group will allocate project managers to the projects in the ITT cluster in all ASML Business Lines, including non-PGP projects.

To lead this group within the D&E MD Industrialization & Tooling Technology sub cluster, we are looking for a Group Manager Project Management.

Job Description

As Group Manager Project Management you are a member of the Tooling Technology DUVA department staff and responsible for leading a group of approx. 12 Project Managers. You will allocate the project managers over the different projects within ASML and enable them to manage their projects successfully. You take care of their personal and professional development by coaching and providing a solid project management foundation.

Responsibilities

  • Operationally lead the team, support project managers with their daily project challenges.
  • Organize the group (competence and size) based on the rapidly changing ASML portfolio.  
  • Take care and develop your people via coaching, training & appraisals.
  • Ensure high project management quality in all HTT projects.
  • Manage the yearly business planning process (TAP) on department level.

Education

  • Bachelor or Master in Mechanical Engineering or a similar technical degree.

Experience      

  • Proven people leader that is able to coach and develop others.
  • Multiple years of Project Management experience.
  • Experience in managing complex stakeholder environments on all levels.
  • Preferably understands ASML’s organization and sectors.

  • Facilitator, being able to let others take the spotlight.
  • Natural leader able to influence w/o power.
  • Strong interPersonal Skills:.
  • Balancing stakeholders – customer focus.
  • Solid project management toolkit.

Context of the position

The D&E MD ITT Tooling Technology DUVA (TTD) department is part of the Industrialization & Tooling Technology (ITT) subcluster in Mechanical Development cluster (MDEV) in ASML. TTD is responsible for the specification, definition, realization, qualification and industrialization of all manufacturing, service, handling, transport & lifting tools and special packaging for ASML machines. You will be reporting to the Department Manager D&E ITT – Tooling Technology DUVA.

Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work.
