**Early Years (Learning Support) Teacher (Maternity Cover)**

We are seeking a dynamic, creative and experienced Early Years Teacher to support a group of students (4- 6 year olds) who need additional special support to develop appropriate school readiness skills before transitioning into a mainstream classroom.

The position is 5 days a week and is based on the Dutch collective labor agreement (CAO PO) for primary education, scale LB.

This is a temporary vacancy linked to a maternity leave. The expected start date is April 2025.

**Requirements**:
We are looking for a teacher who has:

- A teaching degree: Bachelor in Primary Education or PGCE plus Qualified Teacher Status
- Extensive knowledge and experience in Early Childhood Education
- Experience with working with SPPOH ( Samenwerkingsverband Passend Onderwijs Haaglanden), participation in MDO (multidisciplinary overleg structures) with the specialist organisations in the Hague or similar forums will be preferred.
- Learning support experience with skills in creating and implementing Individual Education Plans and monitoring and reporting progress.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience with and knowledge of play based learning.
- Ability to speak and write in English at a native or near native level.
- Ability to understand Dutch will be advantageous.
- A positive, kind disposition and who is philosophically aligned with our Guiding Statements
- Permission to live and work in the European Union

- a holiday allowance of 8% of the gross annual salary (paid in May every year)
- an end-of-year allowance: 8,33% of the gross annual salary (paid in December every year)
- end of scale payment: €1591,09 (paid in August every year) if applicable

All amounts mentioned above are gross based on 1 FTE and calculated pro rata.
