Role Overview:
The Head of CRM will lead the CRM strategy and execution for Marktplaats, bringing both strategic vision and hands-on expertise to drive measurable impact across multiple channels. This role demands strong leadership acumen, the ability to manage seasoned CRM experts, and a deep understanding of stakeholder management, as it requires close alignment with Data, Martech, and Product teams to achieve meaningful business outcomes. As a key driver of CRM initiatives, you will also navigate the complexity of technology migrations and leverage our current Adobe Campaign Manager stack to activate personalised, multi-channel campaigns (paid and owned).
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead CRM Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement a robust CRM strategy that maximises the potential of our current stack while anticipating future needs, particularly as we evolve our tech infrastructure.-
- Cross-functional Alignment: Navigate complex stakeholder relationships across the business, particularly with Data, Martech, and Product teams, to ensure CRM initiatives are integrated into the broader company roadmap and deliver high-impact results.- Hands-on & Strategic Leadership: Combine strategic vision with hands-on management of CRM tools to ensure seamless campaign execution, leveraging both paid and owned media channels for maximum reach.- Performance Optimization: Use data insights and analytics to refine and improve CRM campaigns, focusing on engagement, retention, and growth metrics. Demonstrate the ability to deliver measurable results through operational excellence in the current stack and lead the CRM team through potential technology shifts.- User-Centric Approach: Ensure that all CRM efforts are focused on delivering personalized, meaningful experiences for our users, grounded in a deep understanding of their needs.- Stakeholder & Budget Management: Manage stakeholder expectations across the company, ensuring clear communication and alignment. Oversee the CRM budget and external agency relationships to ensure optimal resource allocation.
Who You Are:
- 10+ years’ experience in CRM strategy and execution, with a focus on multichannel campaigns across both paid and owned media.-
- CRM Expertise: Extensive experience working with Adobe Campaign Manager, Looker or similar CRM tools, with the ability to execute and optimise complex campaigns.- Technology Migration Experience: Proven ability to lead teams through technology transitions, while maintaining business continuity.- Strategic & Tactical Leader: Demonstrated ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on management to ensure fast, impactful results.- Stakeholder Management: Strong leadership presence and stakeholder management skills, able to align cross-functional roadmaps with Data, Martech, and Product teams.- Data-Driven: Skilled in interpreting data and using insights to refine CRM strategies, delivering measurable business outcomes.- Results-Oriented: A sharp focus on achieving impactful results, with a growth mindset and a bias for action in navigating a fast-paced, scale-up culture.- Fluent in English: Strong professional proficiency in both written and spoken communication.
