**PURPOSE OF ROLE**
- The Director of Supply Chain Operational Excellence (Opex) will lead the Regional Supply Chain’s efforts in business improvement and standards governance.
- This role is pivotal in driving continuous improvement, project management, business analytics, process standards governance, training and education across all departments leveraging People, Processes, Tools/Technology and Data/information for this purpose.
- ** Project Management Office (PMO)**:
- Oversee the Project Management Office, ensuring effective planning, execution and completion of supply chain projects.
- Develop and implement project management methodologies and best practices.
- Monitor project performance and provide regular updates to senior management.
- ** Continuous Improvement Program**:
- Lead the Continuous Improvement Program to enhance supply chain processes and performance.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and implement Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.
- ** Business Process Governance**:
- Establish and maintain governance of supply chain processes and accordingly select world class standards.
- Ensure compliance with world class standards and internal policies.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure process adherence and effectiveness, making recommendations for remediation or improvement.
- ** Supply Chain Analytics, Reporting, and Data Management**:
- Develop and manage supply chain analytics and reporting systems.
- Utilize data to drive decision-making and improve supply chain performance.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Emphasize the management and accuracy of master data, ensuring data integrity and consistency across all supply chain systems.
- ** Training and Education**:
- Design and deliver training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of supply chain staff.
- Support the professional development of team members through ongoing education and training initiatives.
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or Project Management (PMP)
- Fluent or excellent level of English + Other European Language
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the pharmaceutical or medical devices industry
- Previous professional experience in Pharmaceutical Environment, Medical Device or Life Science industry
- 3 years practical experience in Operational Excellence: Process Governance, Continuous Improvement
- Proven track record of leading continuous improvement initiatives and managing complex projects
- Strong experience in leveraging ERP systems for continuous improvement, simplification and high-performance standards
- Deep understanding of Supply Chain Management and the framework relating to other functionalities (Finance, Quality, Manufacturing, etc.) with an ability to govern that framework in place and ensure process optimizations are made in accordance with that governance
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to drive effective change management; both inside the SCM teams and cross-functionally, ensuring that projects or processes are adopted through the various stages and rolled out by those effected
- Ability to communicate in a clear & influential way, both verbal & written, at higher management level as well as peers. In addition, possess the skill set to be able to create & deliver presentations (incl. fact driven content) and/or workshops to both internal & external parties
- Ability and Agility to work in a complex matrix environment whilst respecting cultural differences.
- Ability to manage the implementation of new processes or revised processes, through stakeholder management (e.g. regular meetings) as well as ensuring that all required documentation is in place & signed by needed parties
