Design & Content Expert II

Are you passionate about creating visual designs for an app and ensuring that everything is in line with the brand and design principles? Do you thrive in a design team to help development teams create the right features and bring visual design and motion to a higher level? If so, we’ve got an exciting opportunity for you We’re looking for an experienced visual designer to join our fantastic design team at Tikkie.

**Your job**:
This position requires you to maintain design consistency while also pushing the boundaries of motion and visual design. Your creativity, combined with your experience in visual and app design, will help deliver exceptional designs. Understanding accessibility is crucial, as we strive to create apps that are easy for everyone to use.

In this collaborative role, you will work with the design team to uphold and improve our design systems. You will ensure that new ideas fit well within the app's current framework and boost the experience with your visual skills. Additionally, you may participate in usability testing to gather feedback and refine user experiences, providing insights without needing to lead the process.

**Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with Product Managers, UX designers and developers to create delivery-ready app designs.
- Translate UX strategies into visually engaging and brand-aligned app screens.
- Develop high-quality visual elements and ensure their usability and accessibility.
- Ensure design consistency by aligning new visual elements with existing app design patterns and components.
- Contribute to and maintain design systems, ensuring coherence across projects.
- Participate in usability testing, providing insights without executing tests directly.
- Support the development team by delivering finalized design assets and specifications.

**Requirements**:

- A degree in Communication Multimedia Design (CMD), Graphic Design or Art Academies for instance.
- At least 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience designing for (native) mobile apps
- Experience working in and collaborating in a tech environment
- Proficiency in both Dutch and English, with a focus on Dutch content.
- Proficiency with Figma, motion (Lotties preferably) and for instance Illustrator, Photoshop and After Effects.
- Strong team player who takes ownership of skills and expertise
- You have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A track record of shipping great design.
