About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Electrical Engineer to join our team at Damen Shipyards. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for the integration of electrical systems on our workboats, including power, navigation, alarm, and monitoring systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare functional descriptions and technical specifications for electrical systems and equipment
  • Set up preliminary one-line diagrams, load-balances, panel, and cable tray arrangements
  • Organize and monitor interfaces and system integration with other disciplines and co-makers
  • Control the technical and organizational scope of multiple projects, including different engineering teams
  • Lead an engineering team per project by setting up and steering junior E&A engineers
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • At least five years' relevant work experience, preferably in the shipbuilding industry
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Dutch
  • Experience in the functional development of Electrification and/or Control & Monitoring systems
