Job Summary
Fugro seeks a skilled Regional General Ledger Tax Accountant to join our Financial Shared Service Center (FSSC) team in Europe and Africa.
As a key member of the FSSC team, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and complete tax general ledger entries, reconciling financial statements, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Process tax postings for all entities across Europe and Africa, including withholding tax journals, review of and monitoring of WHT charges, and monthly corporate & deferred tax journals.
- Support the preparation and posting of all relevant VAT journals and tax balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Provide specific support to the Regional Tax Group for the preparation of quarterly/annual tax filings.
- Establish and maintain control procedures in relation to Corporation Tax, VAT, WHT, and other direct and indirect taxes, in close liaison with the Regional Tax group.
Your Qualifications
- BSc degree in accounting or finance and a full/part membership of an appropriate professional body (CA(SA), SAIPA, CIMA, ACCA, ACA).
- Thorough knowledge of tax accounting principles and International Financial Reporting Standards.
- Excellent analytical and accounting skills.
- Ability to build relationships at all levels, excellent communication skills, and fluency in English (both oral and written).
