About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Engineer to join our Research and Development team in Alphen aan den Rijn, the Netherlands. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing our hook loader range, working closely with engineers in Hoogeveen and Italy.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Developing project specifications and requirements, often collaborating with engineering and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Conducting market research and proposing new conceptual options to enhance our product offerings.
  • Carefully considering cost, safety, and time constraints when designing and implementing product modifications.
  • Using research, analytical, conceptual, and planning skills, particularly mathematical modeling, CAD, and basic FEM (preferred).
  • Designing and testing theoretical designs to ensure their feasibility and effectiveness.
  • Implementing cost-effective equipment modifications to improve safety and reliability.
  • Identifying and controlling hazards to achieve an acceptable level of risk.
  • Discussing and solving complex problems with manufacturing departments, sub-contractors, suppliers, and customers.
  • Making feasibility analysis to ensure products can be made reliably and perform consistently in specified operating environments.
  • Supporting patent activities as required.
  • Producing general and detailed 2D and 3D documentation.
  • Managing projects using engineering principles and techniques.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A technical education (Bachelor's degree or higher) in Mechanical, Mechatronic, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of Hydraulics/Electrical/Pneumatic systems.
  • Familiarity with Electronics and controls.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in similar products.
  • Knowledge of engineering techniques like QFD, DFA, DFM, DFMEA, ECR, FEA, 3D-CAD (Inventor).
  • Fluent English (verbal and writing).

What We Offer
