About the Role

As a seasoned Enterprise Security Strategist at Canon, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's IT security roadmap. This strategic position demands expertise in developing and implementing comprehensive security architectures that align with business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Oversight of the 5-year Security Roadmap, ensuring alignment with business and IT priorities.
  • Leadership in defining and maintaining the security architecture direction and vision statement for new initiatives.
  • Collaboration as a member of the Project Design Authority to support and consult on projects.
  • Review and approval of high-level designs from the Project Design Office.
  • Cultivating close relationships with business stakeholders to understand their needs and develop an intimate understanding of the business value chain.
  • Ensuring stakeholder sign-off for security initiatives.
  • Identifying opportunities to enhance business and IT processes.
  • Maintaining current knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and threat landscape.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience in Information Security, specifically in an Enterprise Security Architecture role.
  • Proven experience across all aspects of IT projects, from design through development, testing, implementation, and production.
  • In-depth understanding of security domain-specific technologies and systems.
  • Broad knowledge of adjacent domains and the overall technical landscape.
  • Awareness of relevant technologies in the wider industry, including their strengths and weaknesses.
  • Ability to effectively engage with delivery and operational personnel on complex technical matters.
  • Expertise in Enterprise Architecture frameworks (TOGAF and/or SABSA), standard technologies (e.g., SOA), and modeling environments (e.g., UML).
  • Strong communication and presentation skills in English.
  • Capacity to persuasively communicate complex technical information to non-IT experts.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual abilities to evaluate costs, benefits, and other measurable aspects of potential options.
