About the Role

We are looking for an EHS Facility Manager to join our team in Woerden & Hoogeveen, Netherlands. As an EHS Facility Manager, you will be responsible for initiating and implementing HSE policies and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Internal consultant for the company in the areas of ergonomics, hazardous substances, industrial hygiene and fire and chemical safety
  • Consults with all departments regarding equipment design and use, fire prevention and safety programs
  • Examines plans and specifications for new and existing machinery and equipment to determine whether all safety measures are incorporated
  • Visits factory to inspect fire and safety equipment, machinery and facilities to identify and correct potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations
  • Identifies and defines requirements for safety, clothing and equipment, and design guides the installation of safety equipment on machines
  • Responsible for facility management, maintenance and cleaning of the in- and outside of the building, including managing (small) construction projects
  • Improves efficiency by analysing and standardizing various facility procedures
  • Analyses and improves systems including and not limited to EV chargers, climate control, cabling, lighting, etc.
  • Coordinates maintenance and cleaning personnel working in the facility
Requirements
  • Bachelor level in HSE related field preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of HSE laws and regulations
  • Experience in initiating and implementing HSE policies and guidelines
  • Experience in a technical production environment required and in the metal industry is an advantage
  • Able to motivate and influence people in a positive way
  • Experience Facility Management related field is an advantage
  • Knowledge of or interested in energy management and sustainability
  • Service and problem solving oriented
  • Excellent communicator and persuasive
  • Dutch and English in speaking and writing
  • Dutch car driver license and willing and able to travel between the locations
  • Lives preferably between Hoogeveen and Woerden
