Salary

The base salary for this position ranges from €35,000 to €48,000 per month, based on your education and relevant work experience. In addition to your salary, you will receive a comprehensive secondary benefits package, which includes:

  • An end-of-year bonus of 4.5% of your annual salary;
  • A profit-sharing scheme of up to 3.5% of your annual salary based on Vattenfall Netherlands' results;
  • An NS Business Card for commuting or a travel allowance of €0.23 per km up to a maximum of 50 km one way;
  • 25 vacation days, 2.5 vitality days, and 13 ADV (reduction of working hours) days;
  • A choice budget, allowing you to purchase or sell extra vacation days, buy an e-bicycle, or receive additional pay;
  • An education budget, enabling you to continue developing yourself.
Job Description

As a Tactical Buyer, you will play a crucial role in sourcing materials, goods, and services for our Wind Business Area and indirect materials, goods, and services for the entire Vattenfall Group. You will work closely with procurement colleagues in your team and business stakeholders to approach the market for competitive quotes and select the best offer. Your focus will be on project-based demand as well as demands from running operations and production sites.

You will be responsible for buying all materials, goods, and services through a competitive process, ensuring Vattenfall receives the best value for money. You will also investigate relevant markets for potential suppliers, ensuring there is a selection of sources to fulfill business demands. Additionally, you will act as a point of contact for requestors in Business Areas and Group Staff Functions, working closely with them to fulfill their wider sourcing needs.

  • You will independently carry out RFQ (Requests For Quotation) and RFP (Request For Proposal) procedures;
  • Conduct market research, hold negotiations, and run tenders;
  • Evaluate quotations, select, and negotiate conditions;
  • Draft and ensure contracts are signed and in accordance with Vattenfall regulations with the support of our Legal department;
  • Work collaboratively with your colleagues, supporting each other during peak times;
  • Build trust and empowerment through strong commitment and stakeholder engagement;
  • Contribute to growing the indirect team through cross-functional initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of two years of experience in a procurement position, preferably as a tactical buyer;
  • Completion of MBO-4 with a Nevi education or similar, preferably in a technical or business administration area;
  • Team player and eager to learn;
  • Personal traits: energetic, empathic, responsive, committed to tasks, professional communication skills, good self-presentation, result-driven with efficient time management skills and prioritization of tasks;
  • Good understanding of people and culture in working across multiple business functions;
  • Interest in technology, innovation, sustainability, and digitalization;
  • Strong English and German language capabilities, spoken and written;
  • Strong SAP Knowledge (MM module) or willingness to learn.
