Senior IT Solutions Developer

HKU seeks high-caliber IT professionals to join its Information Technology Services in implementing and supporting finance systems.
The successful candidates will have the opportunity to work on challenging projects, leveraging their technical expertise to design, develop, and integrate tailored software solutions.
The RoleAppointees will develop and maintain in-house and other finance systems, including Oracle e-Business Suite, iExpenses, and eProcurement. They will collect and analyze user requirements, design systems, perform programming and testing, provide technical support, and liaise with administrative offices and departmental users internally and solutions consultants externally.
Qualifications and QualitiesCandidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline, with solid experience in software application development and support. A good command of written and spoken English is also required, as well as strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Applicants with knowledge of web and app programming (Java, Servlet) and web technologies (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, Ajax, Node.js), Oracle EBS R12 (GL, AP, FA, AR, iExpenses), eProcurement Cloud, PL/SQL, BIP, OTBI and Unix Shell scripts, and Microsoft Power Platform (including Power App, Power BI, Power Automate) are preferred.
What We OfferThe appointment will be made on a fixed-term full-time contract for 2 years, commencing as soon as possible with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience, contract-end gratuity, and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary are offered. Other benefits include annual leave and medical benefits.
