About the Role

The Medical Affairs Scientist is a key member of the Pfizer team, responsible for maintaining the highest scientific standards in medical/scientific external activities and internal processes. This role requires a strong understanding of the therapeutic area, the relevant medicines in the portfolio and pipeline, and the ability to effectively communicate in-depth scientific knowledge to stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop strategic partnerships with internal and external key stakeholders during the entire lifecycle of Pfizer's Therapeutic Area portfolio.
  • Provide focused, relevant information in response to customer-stated needs to maintain a therapeutic leadership position and drive medical scientific needs at the national, regional, and corporate level.
  • Partner with high-level scientific KOLs at peer level to shape the scientific environment with regards to protocols, guidelines, and clinical scientific opportunities.
  • Identify and act on clinical scientific opportunities, position Pfizer as a trustworthy partner, and lead medical-to-medical communications in the field.
  • Act as a scientific expert for HCPs, Medical Societies, Academia, and other relevant key scientific stakeholders, and lead national-level initiatives and cluster medical network activities.
  • Work in a cross-functional, national, and international team to maximize the value of Pfizer's TA portfolio in country and at regional level, and provide medical-scientific input to the BUs and co-create company plans through actionable customer medical insights.
  • Plan and execute medical scientific strategic plans, stipulate medical strategy, and lead X-FT projects with different internal stakeholders, while being accountable for TA-related medical projects, including budget.
About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Medical Affairs Scientist with a strong background in Life Sciences, preferably in the bio-pharmaceutical industry, academic, or post-graduate experience, preferably in the TA-related area. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of drug development, business acumen, decision-making, and prioritization skills, as well as the ability to effectively communicate in-depth scientific knowledge and connect with stakeholders with social sensitivity and build sustainable relationships.
