Desktop Support Engineer

We are looking for a Desktop Support Engineer to provide comprehensive support to our teams and employees in resolving IT-related issues. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is eager to take on additional responsibilities and showcase their proactive nature.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a wide range of desktop support to all our employees, including face-to-face and remote support via ticketing, internal messaging, emailing, and calling.
  • Play a key role in optimizing our processes and systems, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to increase operational efficiency.
  • Proactively analyze repetitive tasks and issues, employing automation techniques to streamline manual processes and improve productivity.
  • Work together with our team members all across the globe, providing comprehensive support for Apple device issues, user and systems access, networking, and other IT-related tasks.
  • Ensure our IT systems and functionalities are up to date and aligned with our evolving business needs.
  • Provide user onboarding and offboarding support.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in desktop support and helping people troubleshoot their IT-related issues.
  • Ability to navigate through the terminal and troubleshoot IT-related issues in Linux/UNIX-based systems.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash or Python, with practical skills in automating repetitive tasks and streamlining the end-user experience.
  • Experience administering services such as Google Suite, Zoom, OKTA, and LDAP.
  • Experience managing a large fleet of MacOS corporate devices leveraged by enterprise systems like JAMF or similar.
  • Experience administering new joiners' onboarding sessions and IT user training.
  • Flexibility and ability to work independently, making informed decisions with a good understanding of up-to-date IT security practices.
  • Experience with writing and maintaining technical documentation.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with config management systems such as Puppet, Ansible, or similar.
  • Experience with centrally managed packages and deploying, updating, and maintaining applications on Apple end-user devices.
