DB2 Database Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled DB2 database engineer to join our team at Triodos Bank N.V. This role will be pivotal in optimizing our database infrastructure, enhancing data security, and ensuring seamless integration with our existing systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide and support in a highly virtualized infrastructure (VMware VSAN)
- Support development teams and discuss the impact of development on the database, proactively discussing with developers about what they want to deliver
- Oversee our database backup strategy and recovery procedures
- Perform, monitor, and tune queries and access plan analysis, and take action to improve overall performance
- Maintain high availability Db2 environments using HADR / TSAMP deployed on Red Hat Linux

Requirements

- Affinity with the objectives of Triodos Bank
- Education in IT, minimally at the higher vocational/applied sciences (Dutch: HBO) level
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar position, preferably at a company of comparable size and complexity
- Knowledge of Red Hat Linux, shell scripting, DB2 installation, Fix Pack updates, and version migrations
- Expertise in database objects including tables, indexes, views, triggers, stored procedures, functions, and other user-defined objects
