Category Manager Packaging Procurement
Responsibilities and Tasks
As a Category Manager Packaging Procurement, your primary function will be to oversee the sourcing and supply activities for Packaging Commodities. You will work closely with key stakeholders, including Package Development, Engineering, Research and Development, Manufacturing sites, Quality, and Commercial, in both Corporate and Division organizations to develop effective strategies and execute them.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify areas of opportunity for new business, process improvement, and cost efficiencies.
- Provide insight to the business unit on how to leverage Supplier capabilities for the organization.
- Drive and manage supplier performance evaluations with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, logistics, economics, engineering, or equivalent experience in Packaging or a related field.
- Professional Certifications such as CPSM, CPM, PMP, or equivalent are a plus.
- Experience with Strategic supplier management, contract negotiations, and functional experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, or a related field is essential.
- Knowledge of Metal and/or Plastic Category technologies and products or 5 years of deep Metal/Plastic Category experience is a significant advantage.
Skills and Personality
- Effective written and oral communication skills in English are required.
- Negotiation and conflict resolution skills are necessary to ensure timely and effective solutions.
- Good interdisciplinary, intercultural, influence, and networking skills, with experience working in an international context.
- Outstanding ability to develop actionable implementation plans.
- Establish and submit financial plans for commodities under responsibility.
- Champion change and innovation, stimulating creativity and innovation in the category.
