ROLE SUMMARY

Mammoet is seeking a skilled Senior Contracts Manager to oversee the preparation, negotiation, and management of contracts across global projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of legal principles related to contracts and compliance, with a proven track record of identifying, managing, and mitigating legal risks in complex contractual agreements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee the preparation, negotiation, and management of contracts across global projects, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards.
Provide expert guidance to tender management on selecting appropriate contract forms, considering service type and associated risks.
Collaborate with project management to identify, address, and mitigate potential claims, changes, and variations, ensuring timely notifications.
Prepare concise contract condition summaries for project managers and directors as needed.
Participate in risk management sessions with internal stakeholders, contributing to informed decision-making.
Oversee the development of subcontract terms, ensuring alignment with the main contract and managing risks and opportunities.
Collaborate closely with project management to manage subcontractor relationships, maintaining consistency with the main contract.
Resolve conflicts while upholding Mammoet's core values and ensuring effective contract execution.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical, commercial, or legal discipline.
6+ years of relevant experience in contract management, preferably within logistics, shipping, or related industries.
Legal experience: Strong understanding of legal principles related to contracts and compliance, with a proven track record of identifying, managing, and mitigating legal risks in complex contractual agreements.
Proven track record in leading complex contract negotiations and providing strategic contractual advice in project-driven environments.
Expertise in contract and risk management, with a strong ability to balance contractual risks with commercial goals.
Proven ability to translate complex contractual risks into clear, comprehensible language.
Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in Dutch and English (verbal and written); additional languages are a plus.
Pragmatic, analytical, and creative problem solver with excellent listening skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels.
Willingness to travel occasionally to project and customer sites.
