About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Treasury Analyst to join our team at Liberty Global Corporate BV. As a key member of our Treasury team, you will be responsible for providing critical support to our operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of our Treasury activities, and maintaining a close relationship with internal departments and external parties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Back Office Activities, Payments and Cash Forecasting
    • Execute corporate treasury settlements in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with instructions from the front office or business requirements.
    • Provide services to joint ventures under various treasury services agreements.
    • Reconcile bank accounts in our treasury management system on a daily basis.
    • Coordinate derivative contract confirmation processes and monitor our derivative portfolio.
    • Support short-term cash forecasting to ensure adequate liquidity and monitor OpCo cash forecasting processes to align with our treasury policy.
  • Treasury Management and Payment Systems - Process Improvements
    • Implement and optimize systems to automate confirmation processes.
    • Assist in projects related to changes or upgrades of our treasury management system, payment systems, and related processes.
    • Propose improvements to the payment end-to-end process, automation, and digitization of payments, interoperability between systems, and implementation of new technologies to facilitate real-time payments and mitigate errors and potential fraud.
  • Compliance and Reporting
    • Maintain and improve treasury policies, guidelines, and procedures, while building awareness and treasury knowledge within the wider group.
    • Ensure adherence to our treasury policy from a cash management perspective by implementing adequate controls on processes and procedures.
    • Ensure compliance of back office activities with SOX documentation/controls and formalize work processes in workflow documentation.
    • Maintain our back office database, including bank account overviews, mandates, signatory lists, etc.
    • Perform Know Your Customer (KYC) activities related to bank account openings/maintenance and other regulatory processes.
  • Other
    • Build strong and trusted relationships with banks and service providers to ensure sustainable relations that maximize support at minimum costs.
    • Timely issue resolution with various counterparties.
    • Act as a backup for the Senior (Cash) Manager Treasury and assist in projects as required.
    • Support change initiatives in the treasury department.
    Requirements
    • University-educated (masters/bachelors) with a preferred degree in economics, finance, accounting, or mathematics.
    • Professional qualifications desirable (MBA, CFA, ACT, ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
    • Relevant working experience, preferably in treasury or banking.
    • Experience with treasury management systems (FIS Quantum) an advantage.
    • Knowledge of KYC procedures and processes a plus.
    • Meticulous person with a high sense of detail, strong in project management and administration.
    • Understanding of settlement concepts such as value dating, correspondent banks, cut-off times, SWIFT, etc.
