About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Engineer to join our team at Albert Heijn. As a Staff Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting our engineers in creating and adopting building blocks in our primary programming languages. This will enable our product teams to accelerate their software development, modernize our tech stacks, and enhance product quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create, maintain, and promote Paved Roads for our back-end and front-end programming languages.
  • Lead and drive end-to-end technical software architectures in complex programs/initiatives within Supply Chain/Stores.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to fellow engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies applicable to our context, collaborating with Architects to define and improve technology strategies and architectures.
  • Work closely with development, operations, and product teams to understand challenges, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement effective solutions.
  • Create comprehensive documentation for software engineering processes, configurations, and best practices.
  • Support teams with software engineering expertise in case of problems, troubleshooting and resolving development issues.
  • Develop prototypes and conduct thorough testing of solutions to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance.
