Job Summary

As a Global Data Protection Officer - Risk Management Specialist at ING, you will be responsible for managing and monitoring data protection risks arising from local and global processing of personal data within the Bank Support Functions (BSF).

The BSF includes CEO, CRO, CFO, COO, and CTO, and you will focus on ensuring compliance with applicable data protection laws, regulations, and ethical standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Proactively monitor and challenge global processing activities, processes, and practices to identify actual or potential breaches of data protection laws and regulations.
- Execute second-line compliance risk management activities for personal data protection and record retention risks and controls for specific Bank Support Functions.
- Track progress and closure of remediation of data protection risks, including specific projects or programs with global scope.

Requirements

- 6+ years of professional experience with data protection activities and related non-financial risk management and/or audit, preferably in a banking environment.
- Relevant and profound knowledge of GDPR and related internal ING policies.
- Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work across functional and geographic lines.
