We are currently seeking exceptional candidates to join our ranks as Tenure-Track Clinical Professor (several posts) in the LKS Faculty of Medicine. This appointment will commence on a four-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and consideration for tenure before the expiry of a second four-year fixed-term contract. Exceptionally outstanding candidates may be considered for appointment on tenure terms.

As an Academic Clinician at HKUMed, you will have the opportunity to work alongside world-class clinicians and researchers, contributing to cutting-edge research and teaching programs. You will be expected to possess a specialist registration with the Hong Kong Medical Council (or be eligible to apply to the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine for the Certification of Specialist Registration), and preferably other relevant higher academic qualification (e.g. MD, MS, PhD).

To succeed in this role, you should have a distinguished and sustained record of high-quality impactful research, as indicated by publications and competitive grants, with demonstrated clinical excellence. You should also have achieved international recognition for scholarship and professional expertise. In addition, applicants should demonstrate a strong commitment to, and evidence of, excellence in teaching, curriculum development, capacity building, mentoring early career researchers and supervision at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointments will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary. A monthly cash allowance will be offered to the successful candidate. Housing benefits will also be provided as applicable.
