About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical System Layout Architect to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for defining and validating the mechanical system layout and factory-infrastructure layout of our EUV machines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performs system layout studies optimized for Commonality, Seismic, Build & Adjust, Serviceability, Safety, and Transport, driving solution directions towards hardware delivering projects.
- Collaborates with Hardware delivering projects and pre-install groups, managing budgets for volume, mass, seismic & tolerances, leading cross-project efforts in getting agreement on structural pre-install layouts.
- Maintains and optimizes Module configurations for build, service, cycle time, and cost.
- Validates concept changes, prescribing and validating tests like layout (accessibility), mass, and tolerances.
- Supports integration of new systems in our factory.
- Cooperates with the factory and field, identifying and driving improvements on integration (manufacturability & serviceability, ergonomics, safety).
- Supports factory & field in case of issues related to the mechanical system layout.
- Defines, validates, and leads timely delivery and updates of all structural layout documentation for pre-install for highly complex machines.
- Drives continuous improvement of deliverables and processes.
- Responsible for knowledge on customer infra/facility on system level, able to determine impact for customer infra.
Requirements
To thrive in this role, you will need:
- A Master or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanics or Mechatronics.
- Experience in validating layout/building complex machines or products (like cars, aerospace).
- At least 7 years of working experience.
- Experience with Siemens NX (preferred).
- Experience with tolerance calculations (preferred).
- At least 2 years ASML experience (preferred).
- Experience in the area of factory facility preparation, pre-install, or other roles involving customer alignment, machine install, multi-level stakeholder alignment, in combination with technical insight and accuracy (preferred).
About You
The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, be able to steer design teams for the best system-level solutions, and have a critical eye for design solutions. A proactive attitude and helicopter view are essential, as well as good analytical skills and the ability to work structured.
Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.
