We are seeking a skilled Compressor Technician to join our team at HOERBIGER Benelux. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for executing all works around the service of reciprocating compressors and assembly of newly built sub-components.

Main tasks include:

• Disassembling and assembling compressor parts, such as cylinders, liners, bearings, conrods, and cross-heads.
• Inspecting and measuring incoming goods, evaluating and recording findings.
• Reworking and machining compressor parts to specifications.
• Machining activities, including honing and boring of cylinders and parts.
• Supporting estimation and planning of activities for cost calculation and shop planning.
• Collaborating with colleagues from various departments, including Shop, Field Service, Engineering, Sales, and customers.
• Ensuring accurate documentation and labeling.
• Training shop colleagues in assembly, disassembly, and rework of compressors.
• Executing routine machine maintenance and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
• Assisting in other areas, such as Field Service intervention, during activity peaks.

Requirements include:

• Completed Secondary vocational education (MBO) level 3 or 4, preferably in Mechanical Engineering or Marine Engineering.
• Basic machining skills.
• Experience with Recip Compressors and maintenance of Rotating Equipment and Auxiliary Equipment.
• Compressor disassembling and assembling know-how, including adjustments within specs and tolerances.
• Strong technical insight and ownership and service attitude.
• Good command of Dutch, German, and English languages.
• Good communication and PC skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and as a team player.
• VCA certificate.
