About the Job
We are looking for a skilled Research Development Officer to join our team at the Eindhoven University of Technology. As a key member of our Center for Care & Cure Technology, you will be responsible for acquiring and developing research projects in collaboration with international researchers, clinics, and industry partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Support researchers in converting their research ideas into high-quality research projects in collaboration with industry partners.
- Act as a linking pin between scientists and medical industry representatives to facilitate the development of new research projects.
- Prepare, manage, and organize meetings and events to stimulate new connections, funding opportunities, and knowledge valorization within the healthcare domain.
- Match funding opportunities with innovative research ideas generated by our team.
- Support researchers in clearly articulating problems, approaches, solutions, and their impact on project proposals or business contracts.
- Take away researchers' worries regarding administrative project aspects during project development and startup.
Requirements
The successful candidate will have a PhD or Master's degree in electrical engineering, physics, or an equivalent field, with a strong affinity for the medtech domain. They will also have experience in the medtech industry and knowledge of medtech research.
Desirable Skills
- Familiarity with acquiring national and international research funding and developing new projects.
- Expertise in setting up quality research and innovation projects in collaboration with medical industry.
- Experience in structuring and substantiating research ideas into high-quality project proposals.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with a command of Dutch for communicating with clinical staff.
- Goal-oriented, proactive, organized, hands-on, reliable, and a recognized sparring partner.
