Job Title: Research Assistant I/II at the Centre for Safe Medication Practice and Research, Department of Pharmacology and Pharmacy
We are seeking skilled professionals for the following position(s).
Key Responsibilities (Research Focus)
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team on initiatives related to large-scale data analysis, pharmacoepidemiology, and pharmacoeconomics, particularly in fields such as cardiology, mental health, oncology, and infectious diseases.
  • Conduct statistical evaluations of economic and epidemiological datasets.
  • Manage and interpret extensive data collections.
  • Assist in qualitative research endeavors.
  • Support the execution of research projects in various regions.
Required Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in Biostatistics, Health Economics, Pharmacy, or a related discipline, with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in handling large datasets utilizing software such as R, SAS, STATA, and NVivo.
  • Capability to perform statistical assessments of epidemiological information.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in both English and Chinese.
Key Responsibilities (Administrative Focus)
  • Manage submissions to funding organizations and Institutional Review Boards (IRBs).
  • Provide support for pre- and post-award administrative functions related to research.
  • Assist in the financial management of research activities.
  • Contribute to administrative tasks for knowledge exchange and IT initiatives.
Required Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with at least 1 year of experience.
  • Familiarity with research applications and management systems.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Attention to detail and a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
