Job Description

Quest4 is seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst/Requirements Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our software development unit, you will be responsible for analyzing, documenting, and improving our software applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and assess existing application views, screens, components, and functionalities.
  • Verify the extend and level of detail of corresponding documentation parts.
  • Create new or enrich existing requirements to document the as-is.
  • Work closely with other team members to retrieve information and elicit requirements.
  • Receive, evaluate, analyze, and assess application-related change requests and bug reports.
  • Provide analyzed issues with additional documents, files, and mock-ups.
  • Review and analyze generated program code.
  • Create program code-detailing or -explaining pieces of documentation.
  • Contribute to overall documentation activities.
  • Support superior officers by developing detailed estimates and contributing to the management of the internal product backlog.
Requirements
  • Working language: English (B2 level).
  • Practical experience in writing/rewriting software development-related user requirements (3 years).
  • Practical experience as business analyst or requirements engineer within a software development unit/organization (2 years).
  • Practical experience in working with Atlassian Confluence or Jira (2 years).
Desirable Skills
  • Experience in designing and coding web-based enterprise applications in Java.
  • Experience in writing unit tests.
  • Experience with tools like Atlassian Confluence, Jira, or equivalent alternatives.
  • Experience working in an international environment.
  • Experience working within an agile software development and test team (Scrum).
