About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join a leading IT services company as a Java Engineer. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for architecting, implementing, and delivering mission-critical IT solutions. Your expertise will be instrumental in solving complex technical challenges and providing innovative solutions that add substantial value to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Develop Solutions: Create high-quality, scalable Java-based applications and microservices that meet the needs of our clients.
  • Collaborate with Clients: Work closely with clients to understand their challenges and provide IT solutions that meet their evolving needs.
  • Problem-Solving: Address complex technical challenges and turn them into actionable solutions.
  • Stay Current with Industry Trends: Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends to ensure the delivery of innovative solutions.
  • Quality and Reliability: Adhere to best practices in coding, testing, and performance optimization to uphold high software quality standards.
Requirements
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • Experience: At least 6 years of relevant experience in Java development, ideally Java 17 and Kotlin.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficient in Spring Framework, Spring Boot, microservices, Maven/Gradle, and REST APIs (SOAP/GraphQL is a bonus). Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab/Azure DevOps), and cloud-native development.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in Dutch (spoken and written) at C2 level.
  • Consulting Mindset: Comfortable working across different client environments and cultures, balancing technical excellence with practical solutions.
