We are seeking an experienced Senior Protein Development Specialist to join our team at Independent Recruiters. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and expanding high protein bars in a fast-paced commercial environment.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to leverage your technical expertise in adult nutrition and product development to drive innovation and growth within the company. As a Senior Protein Development Specialist, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to execute the application roadmap for high protein bars and develop the technical framework.

Your key responsibilities will include influencing and executing the innovation roadmap, collaborating with ingredient experts to identify opportunities for new application technology and product development projects, and providing support for complex application work from regions.

You will also be responsible for maintaining global applied knowledge on specific high protein bar applications, assuring that appropriate internal and external training is available, and using existing tools to make insights available and actionable to the organization.

Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in formulating high protein bars;
  • A strong technical background in areas such as Food Technology and Product Development;
  • Technical expertise in Adult Nutrition and its ingredients, including GOS, DHA, dairy proteins, hydrolysates, and more;
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced commercial environment while handling multiple tasks;
  • Proactivity, creativity, and relationship building skills;
  • Collaborative skills across various departments, including TSS, marketing, product development, sales, supply chain, QA, and customers;
  • Knowledge and experience in confectionery;
