About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Project Control Specialist to join our team at Serco, a leading provider of services to the European Space Agency. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects, from procurement and planning to financial control and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the coordination and update of procurement activities in related systems, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of projects.
  • Manage project-related low-value purchase orders, reimbursement requests, and Z-payments, implementing contracts and ensuring IPSAS accounting standard compliance.
  • Implement contracts in the Navigation financial planning tool and maintain process documentation, operating procedures, and guidelines for procurement actions.
  • Provide reporting on procurement activities, including activity logs, statistics, and progress status.
  • Ensure accurate financial data across systems and generate tailored reports and dashboards.
  • Support the implementation, update, and reporting of all Cost Accounting Codes (CACs) in the Navigation planning and control database.
  • Provide consolidated programme-level data management support, analysis, tailored reports/dashboards, and inputs to management presentations.
  • Support the quarterly cost report and quarterly implementation report exercises, including identification and analysis of variances in financial data.

Requirements

  • University degree (minimum Bachelor) in Business Administration or similar.
  • At least 4 years of relevant work experience, preferably in financial planning and controlling or management.
  • Experience as a proficient user of SAP, particularly in the ECC and SRM modules.
  • High capacity to interact and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to interface at an appropriate level with relevant actors within and outside the Directorate.
  • Proactive attitude to solving problems and handling high workloads.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Highly proficient in the use of modern activity and resource management support tools/databases and standard office automation support software packages.
  • Experience working in multinational project environments, preferably with ESA or similar organizations.
