Job OverviewAs a Structures Engineer at Damen Naval, you will play a key role in creating construction plans, drawings, and arrangements for our clients. This is a challenging position that requires expertise in structures engineering, innovative software skills, and collaboration with our dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Development: Utilize 2D and 3D CAD software to create detailed construction plans, section, and foundation drawings, as well as outer deck arrangements.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with structural engineers and analysts under the guidance of a Team Lead to deliver top-notch solutions to our clients.
- Tech Analysis: Assist in technical analysis to ensure full compliance with applicable requirements and specifications.
- Department Development: Contribute to the ongoing development of the engineering department and the establishment of project standards.
- MBO-4 related to structures discipline or equivalent experience.
- At least two years of experience in ship structure engineering with knowledge of structures, preferably in ships or offshore installations.
- Familiarity with class and statutory regulations, along with proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD systems (Cadmatic Hull, Catia, or Solidworks).
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn from others.
- Excellent English language skills, both written and verbal.
- Permanent EU citizenship and passport required.
- A competitive salary of approximately €5,500 per month.
- 8% holiday pay.
- 27 holidays and 13 ADV days per year.
- Travel allowance of 23 cents per kilometre.
- PME-pension arrangement with an employer contribution of 60%.
- Profit sharing based on company results.
- Flexibility to work from home up to two days a week.
