About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Architect to spearhead the technological evolution of processes in the shipbuilding value chain at Damen Naval. As a key member of our team, you will drive the implementation of innovation strategies to leverage emerging technologies in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Digital Engineering, and Industry 4.0.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a comprehensive innovation strategy to leverage emerging technologies, including key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact
  • Drive the implementation of the innovation strategy by creating roadmap(s) with clear goals/timelines for innovation initiatives
  • Manage budgets, resources, and adherence to timelines for each project
  • Act as a first-line technical contributor to the process development team, providing direct technical expertise and insights
  • Develop integration plans for a seamless incorporation of innovative technologies into existing systems and practices
  • Champion the adoption of new technologies in the design process and practices by providing guidance to the engineering teams
  • Lead and oversee research and development projects (prototyping, pilots, MVPs) to validate innovative solutions
  • Foster a culture of innovation by organizing workshops, brainstorms, and knowledge-sharing events
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience leading and/or contributing to research, development, and innovation projects, preferably in the naval or maritime engineering domain
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant specialization
  • Good command of the English language, both written and verbal
  • Excellent references and antecedents as a pre-employment security screening is standard part of the recruitment procedure
  • Permanent EU citizenship and passport are both required
