Job Description

As our QMS Manager / DPA, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe and sustainable operation of our fleet. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Serving as the DPA, overseeing safety and pollution prevention across all managed vessels.
  • Acting swiftly to correct any breaches in Quality, Safety, or Environmental policies.
  • Maintaining the integrity of our QMS system, ensuring it meets all regulatory requirements.
  • Developing and updating critical manuals (SOPEP, ISPS, NTVRP, etc.) in line with QMS standards.
  • Leading incident investigations, managing corrective actions, and overseeing event reporting.
  • Providing leadership and guidance to Marine Superintendents, DPA Italy, Fleetteam Operators, and the RFMO Compliance Officer.
  • Coordinating security measures for high-risk voyages and acting as the Company Security Officer (CSO).
  • Ensuring ISM/ISO compliance both onboard and ashore, and managing internal and external audits.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in maritime studies, with at least 5 years of sea experience (Captain-level preferred).
  • A minimum of 5 years in a (semi) managerial position in a relevant field.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills with a team-oriented approach.
  • Exceptional communication skills in both English and Dutch.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities, particularly under high-pressure situations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and database applications, with excellent analytical skills.
