We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Systems Expert to lead the development, advice, and engineering initiatives related to specialized subjects within our projects. As a key member of our team, you will leverage your profound knowledge and experience in Electrical Systems to contribute to the advancement and promotion of these critical areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as technical specialist, providing invaluable insights and solutions for complex projects across research, proposals, and engineering.
  • Support design reviews and validation tests, ensuring adherence to project requirements and specifications.
  • Actively contribute to the development and promotion of your area of expertise, fostering innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Deliver high-quality engineering work within agreed schedules, maintaining strict compliance with all relevant standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the department, enhancing tools, processes, and knowledge transfer.

Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master degree in a relevant field, accompanied by a minimum of five years of practical experience.
  • Proficiency in power generation, conversion, energy storage, and electrical distribution systems within complex project environments, particularly in naval vessels or offshore installations.
  • Familiarity with maritime system dynamics and control systems is advantageous.
  • Experience in academic research and collaboration with research institutes, universities, and industry stakeholders is preferred.
  • Good command of the Dutch and English language both written and verbal.
  • Excellent references antecedents as a pre-employment security screening is standard part of the recruitment procedure.
  • Permanent EU citizenship and passport are both required and candidates with NL/EU (work) visa or with both an EU and non-EU nationality and/or passport are not eligible in accordance with the requirements imposed by the military nature of our projects.

What We Offer

  • A competitive salary of €80,000 per year, plus 8% holiday pay.
  • 27 holidays and 13 ADV days per year.
  • Travel allowance of 23 cents per kilometre.
  • PME-pension arrangement with an employer contribution of 60%.
