Job Description:

A challenging opportunity has arisen for an experienced Manufacturing Operations Financial Leader to join Avantium Renewable Polymers. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities related to our manufacturing plant, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and providing strategic financial guidance to optimize plant performance and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee all financial activities within the manufacturing plant, including budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and financial reporting.
  • Develop and maintain financial controls and procedures to safeguard plant assets and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with plant management and cross-functional teams to develop annual operating budgets and long-term strategic plans.
  • Collaborate with supply chain management (incl feedstock and end product toll manufacturing) to provide financial control, including budgeting, forecasting, cost and variance analysis, and financial reporting.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to identify areas for improvement and drive operational efficiencies.
  • Analyze variances between actual performance and budgeted/forecasted figures, and provide recommendations to address any discrepancies.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, financial analysis techniques, and budgeting processes.
  • Proficiency in financial management software (e.g., BC365, SAP, Oracle) and advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
