Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior New Product Developer to join our R&D team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing new products in the field of shock absorbers, hydropneumatics suspension, and other related applications. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving innovation and growth within our company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Concept, feasibility, and design of new products or new ranges of products in collaboration with Application Engineering, Quality, and Industrial Engineering teams.
  • Realization of 3D models, 2D drawings, and BOMs for new prototypes and products.
  • Follow-up of prototype realization and testing.
  • Management of NPD projects using a toll-gate system to ensure timely delivery of high-quality results.
  • Ensuring that all developed products are designed with a strong 'Design to Manufacturing' and 'Design to Cost' mindset.
  • Leading a strong DFMEA approach to design.
  • Responsibility for internal norms regarding design, materials, welding, etc.
  • Scouting and promoting innovation projects.
  • Collaboration with the R&D Director to define the product evolution roadmap based on market and management inputs.
  • Promotion of standardization of components, materials, and tolerances across different product ranges.
  • Promotion and implementation of VAVE ideas.
Requirements

We are looking for a highly qualified individual with a Master's degree or Ph.D. in an engineering discipline (Mechanical, Hydraulic, Aeronautical, Automotive) and at least 10 years of experience in a comparable role. Knowledge of designing shock absorbers, hydraulic valves, hydraulic systems, and suspension systems is highly desirable.

Key qualifications include:

  • Knowledge of principles and design of hydraulic shock absorbers, hydropneumatics suspension, or similar products.
  • Knowledge of design of hydraulic systems and components like valves.
  • General mechanical design and GD&T.
  • Proficiency in 3D Solidworks and Pro-E.
  • Experience in new product development and/or innovation projects.
  • Matlab/Simulink proficiency.
  • Control system and electronic piloting systems.
  • FEA analysis for structure and hydraulic (a plus).
  • Signal/data analysis.
  • DOE and testing methods knowledge.
