Strategic Procurement Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a Strategic Buyer to join our Procurement team at Weir Minerals Netherlands. As a Strategic Buyer, you will be responsible for managing our suppliers, ensuring we have an excellent selection of partners, and driving continuous improvement within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement category strategies to drive cost savings and improve supplier performance.
- Monitor supplier performance and initiate improvements to ensure we meet our business objectives.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers and manage relationships to ensure mutually beneficial agreements.
- SOURCE new suppliers to expand our network and improve our competitiveness.
- Develop and execute annual contract management plans to ensure compliance and minimize risks.
- Develop and execute category plans to drive business growth and improve supplier performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Strategic Buyer or in a similar role.
- Fluency in English, with proficiency in Dutch or German a plus.
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP, and a completed NEVI 1 Course or similar procurement training.
