We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Security Intern in the People & Travel Security department. As a Security Intern, you will play a key role in supporting the safeguarding of Philips employees and protecting our key assets around the globe.
Your Role:
- Develop and create content for the Personnel Security Center of Excellence
- Maintain records and databases related to personnel security activities
- Support travelers to high-risk locations and provide pre-travel briefings
- Monitor and respond to security events worldwide, including terrorist threats and political instability
- Support the creation of event security plans and briefing to Philips Events team
You're the Right Fit If:
- Currently enrolled in a Master's Degree in Crisis Management, Sociology, Business, or International Management or Communication studies (affinity with security is preferred)
- Strong English communication skills, with the ability to analyze and understand complex situations
- Self-motivated and highly organized
- Possess a strong teamwork ethic; must have the ability to work both independently and as part of a larger team
- Ability to work under pressure and efficiently on multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, where tight deadlines and unexpected complexities can crop up
In Return, We Offer:
- A decent internship package, including a monthly full-time allowance between €500 - €700 gross, depending on educational level and if you would need to relocate to The Netherlands
- Housing compensation, in case of relocating to the vicinity of the office, €300,- net if location is in the vicinity of Amsterdam, €255,- net for all other Philips locations
- Travel compensation, if you are not eligible for a free public transport card; you will receive max. €192,- net
- Paid holidays per internship term
- The opportunity to buy Philips equipment at our Philips shop
