We are seeking a skilled Proposal Engineer to join our team at Damen Shipyards. As a Proposal Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing maritime solutions that meet customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with Account Management and Sales teams to understand customer needs and expectations.
- Collect and analyze information to estimate costs, time, labor, and materials for project execution.
- Work with stakeholders to achieve market-competitive project pricing.
- Develop and standardize services within the Services portfolio.
- Participate in tender teams and tender deliverable development.
- Arrange handover from D&P Services to project execution teams.
- Stay involved during project execution to obtain feedback and improve future proposals.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Shipbuilding, or Maritime Engineering.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with other modern languages considered an asset.
- Result-oriented, with initiative and commercial skills.
- Decisive and flexible, with a methodical approach.
- Able to influence, put things into perspective, and have patience to achieve results.
- Customer-oriented, able to manage expectations, and willing to travel occasionally.
