About the Role

FORTNA is a leading provider of omnichannel and parcel distribution solutions. We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team and contribute to the success of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a deep understanding of mechanical engineering requirements for each project
  • Study and become familiar with elementary system drawings, conveyor manifests, and equipment knowledge
  • Provide technical interface with customers and project representatives
  • Manage project scope definitions, 3D model reviews, and system level reviews
  • Mentor and navigate issues with less experienced Project Engineers
  • Estimate mechanical hours and support with change orders
  • Develop and maintain a mechanical engineering schedule to ensure timely delivery of materials
  • Execute projects within budget and hours in the contract estimate
Requirements
  • 6-10 years of material handling equipment experience, preferably in the conveyor systems industry
  • Experience with executing and supporting multiple mid to large projects
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in mechanical engineering and design
