Your role at ABN AMRO Bank as an Enterprise Architect Risk involves developing and controlling the architecture vision of the respective architecture area. You will work as a leader, painting the bigger picture while being pragmatic and realistic.

You will be part of a small team that ensures consistent architecture guidance is developed and delivered. Your interactions with various stakeholders enterprise-wide will ensure our deliverables are aligned and adopted.

You will coordinate and be assertive when it comes to solving dependencies or complex problems. You will oversee a complex stakeholder landscape and be seen as a trusted partner.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Creating compelling stories and architecture diagrams, using architecture models and frameworks, creating and maintaining reference architectures;
  • Exercising architecture control by reviewing solution intents on adherence to enterprise architecture standards and guidelines and by advising on areas to further consider;
  • Carefully following the latest business and technology trends and developments and determining the impact it could have on the organization.

ABN AMRO Bank wants to be a leader in digital transformation. As an Enterprise Architect, you will help steer the enterprise towards the realisation of business and IT strategies. You will have thought leadership and in-depth knowledge on the specific architecture area.

Your profile should include:

  • Demonstrated architecture leadership experiences in a complex organization with multiple business and IT lines, preferably within the specific architecture area;
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with and manage C-Level stakeholders and bring your point across;
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with proven ability to influence, engage and align people in cross-functional roles at all levels (stakeholder management);
  • Continuous learner with strong persistence towards completing tasks within timelines.

Desired qualifications include:

  • Demonstrated capabilities in defining and managing enterprise strategy and architectures;
  • Preferably 8+ years of strategic consultancy experience within a large, global corporation with multiple business and IT domains;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English (Dutch is an advantage);
  • Experience with interpretations of regulations impacting banking and/or the specific architecture area.
