Assistant Manager EU Taxonomy Competence Centre

We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant Manager to join our accounting advisory service team (CMAAS) as an EU Taxonomy Expert. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop yourself as a subject matter expert on the EU Taxonomy, working closely with audit teams and clients to advise on complex accounting and reporting matters.

This position involves developing and maintaining in-depth knowledge of the EU Taxonomy, supporting clients in interpreting EU Taxonomy requirements, and serving as a linking pin between different KPMG departments. You will also provide training on non-financial reporting and work in a dynamic environment where you will receive support to help you grow and face challenges to live up to high standards of quality, agility, and flexibility.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop yourself as a leading subject matter expert in the EU Taxonomy
  • Support clients in advising on EU Taxonomy requirements, combined with an audit assist role as a subject matter expert
  • Act as a linking pin between different KPMG departments (CMAAS, Sustainability, Audit, Department of Professional Practice)
  • Maintain a critical mindset and collaborate effectively with colleagues
  • Provide comprehensive training on non-financial reporting
  • Adapt easily while working in diverse teams
Your Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Accounting or Control or other relevant fields
  • Certified accountant (RA, ACCA, CPA, or other relevant certifications)
  • 5-8 years of relevant professional experience, with a significant portion spent in external audit
  • Demonstrated interest in sustainability
  • Experience with non-financial reporting is preferred
  • Strong conceptual and analytical skills, ability to work under pressure
  • Work independently and enjoy collaborating with multiple stakeholders
  • Fluency in English for our international clients
