Job Summary
We are seeking a Quality Engineer to join our team at INVISTA. As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for optimizing quality risk for our customers and protecting them based on knowledge of our production processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct PFMEA to proactively identify potential failure modes in processes and develop strategies to mitigate top quality risks.
- Lead continuous improvement programs/projects aimed at reducing quality risk and support the operations team in reducing variability in our manufacturing processes.
- Work with the EU commercial team to understand unmet customer needs and translate those into improvement initiatives at our site.
- Provide effective communication with cross-functional teams, including operating teams, commercial team, customers, and global quality colleagues.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical field.
- Three or more years of manufacturing experience.
- Experience applying PFMEA and other quality core tools in an industrial environment, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Demonstrated problem-solving capability through the application of disciplined problem-solving tools, such as root cause analysis and 5-why.
- Demonstrated application of statistical analysis to make decisions and drive actionable strategies.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience demonstrating the application of Automotive Quality Core Tools, such as SPC, MSA, FMEA/CP, APQP, and PPAP.
- Experience demonstrating the application of additional Quality Capabilities, such as auditing, Gage R&R, 3L5W, Poka Yoke, VOC, and others.
- Experience demonstrating an ability to analyze large data sets and apply statistics to generate knowledge systems that present actionable information.
- Experience demonstrating an understanding and application of economics, value creation, and risk-based thinking for continuous improvement.
