Job Title: Strategic Innovation Director - Preservation

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Innovation Director - Preservation to join our team at Corbion. As a key member of our Innovation Center, you will be responsible for designing and driving the vision and strategy for our Preservation Innovation platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the Preservation Innovation strategy in collaboration with business, marketing, and other stakeholders.
  • Translate the Innovation Center strategy into a detailed platform roadmap and execute plans on time, within budget, and to agreed-upon quality levels.
  • Manage resources in a matrix structure and ensure proper allocation of internal and external resources.
  • Foster an inclusive and engaging work environment for the team.
  • Ensure the health, continuity, and evolution of the platform pipeline according to assigned KPIs.
  • Build trusted relationships internally and externally and report portfolio progress against budget, resources, deliverables, and timelines.

About You:

We are looking for a knowledgeable and business-savvy professional with strong interaction and influence capabilities across departments and business units. You should have a proven ability to translate market and business insights into profitable business opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • MSc in Microbiology, Food Science, or a related field; preferably combined with an MBA.
  • 15+ years of working experience in business-driven innovation, including 5+ years in strategic roles.
  • Strong partnership skills with marketing, business, and other stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated drive for success and accountability.
