About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our team at MediaMarkt Benelux. As a key member of our Finance department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial performance and position of our organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in the month-end close cycle by analyzing and reporting on the monthly results;
  • Ensure a strong administrative organization and internal control around the daily/week/monthly processes within the department;
  • Monthly forecast process around any financial changes in the month that affect the results of current and coming months;
  • Comply with the various reports from the head office in Germany;
  • Analyzing the results and discussing it with the Head of Controlling and senior leadership;
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects.

Requirements

  • Analytically excellent professional with a good dose of ownership;
  • Instinctively feel at home with large models and data sets and find your way around Excel effortlessly;
  • Background in retail, wholesale or logistics is a plus;
  • Strong vision of your field, but are open to new ideas and insights;
  • Naturally you are and advisory stakeholder manager;
  • Accurate, entrepreneurial and have an excellent command of English (verbally and in writing).

About Us

The controlling department consists of 3 teams: Financial Controlling, Commercial Controlling and Operational Controlling.

The Financial Controlling team is the point of contact in the organization for all questions related to the P&L. The team provides insights into the financial performance of the Benelux region and controls the planning and control cycle for this region.
