Job Summary

Fugro is seeking an experienced Offshore Geophysical Specialist to join our team in the Netherlands. This role offers exciting opportunities for Survey professionals to work on state-of-the-art survey vessels on fixed rotations offshore.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute positioning and navigation tasks and lead projects of low to medium complexity;
  • Ensure the correct offsets, measurements, and calibrations of positioning equipment and the set-up and/or operation of survey equipment;
  • Carry out computations, in-field data processing, and compilation of survey reports;
  • Perform administrative duties, including maintaining an accurate and complete logbook;
  • Assist with the establishment and compilation of project procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Hydrographic Surveying or a related field;
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role and willingness to work offshore (fixed 4-week rotations totaling at least 180 days a year);
  • Experience with survey equipment, including USBL calibrations, gyrocompass calibration at sea, and usage of multibeam, navigation systems, magnetometers, side scan sonars, seismic systems, and online positioning systems;
  • Good understanding of computer system hardware;
  • Good communication and language skills in English (written and spoken).
