Accounting and Financial Analysis Role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Accounting Specialist to join our team at NBCUniversal. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills to contribute to our financial success.

About the Role:

  • As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for assisting with monthly and quarterly financial close processes, including analytical reviews.
  • You will review schedules required for Quarter close, such as rental and cost accruals, title allocations, rebate accruals, and any others as needed.
  • Your tasks will also include preparing financial reports, presentations, and analysis of performance metrics.
  • In addition, you will support P&L pacing, overheads, and cash flows forecasting.
  • You will liaise with the Assistant Controller to ensure all postings are made correctly and the accounts are accurately presented.
  • You will be the primary contact for all ad-hoc FP&A queries.

Data Analytics and Modeling:

  • You will develop and maintain financial models to support commercial and strategic decision-making.
  • You will provide ad-hoc analysis to support business operations, identify trends, and recommend actionable insights.
  • You will become a super-user of SAP and Power-BI, optimizing automated reporting tools.

Collaboration and Business Partnering:

  • You will support the Assistant Controller with day-to-day finance operations, including maintaining accurate financial records and reporting.
  • You will collaborate with marketing and sales teams to optimize campaign strategies and profitability.
  • You will act as a business partner for special finance projects and support the integration of new reporting tools and process improvements.

Special Projects:

  • You will participate in finance transformation projects focusing on continuous improvement and finance process optimization.
  • You will lead initiatives to improve the monthly close and reporting process and system enhancements.
  • You will actively support ad-hoc financial analysis and strategic projects.
  • You will work with International Finance OPCOS and HQ to roll out any new or best practices and knowledge transfer exchange.

Qualifications:

  • You should have a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • You must have a minimum of 3+ years of experience in a similar role in an international business environment.
  • You should have proven experience of Financial Accounting.
  • You should have strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present complex data.
  • You should have strong Accounting Knowledge.
  • You should have hands-on experience with financial reporting, modeling, and variance analysis.
  • You should be proficient in financial accounting systems (SAP preferred) and strong Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) skills.
  • You should be able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • You should have excellent communication skills with a collaborative working style.
  • You should be fluent in English and Dutch (verbal and written).
  • You should be flexible and adaptable, with a proactive attitude to support cross-functional teams.
  • You should have excellent Excel and data analysis skills with experience in building models and working with large quantities of data.
  • You should be a proven team player with a drive for continuous improvement and collaborative working style.

Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 per year

Based on experience and qualifications, this salary range reflects the expected compensation for this position within the industry and location.
